FAQ: Currency Conversions

Q: Why do your order forms charge me US dollars (USD)?

A: Buying and selling on the internet is convenient, and has changed the way many people purchase goods and services. But there is a complication around international currencies. As a small Australian-based business, we had to decide which currency in which our transactions would be transacted. Bottom line, it is more expensive for us to find a bank or other financial provider to conduct secure transactions for us in Australian dollars (AUD). In addition, we have customers in the US, UK, South Africa, New Zealand, …; you get the picture. It is simply unfeasible for us to offer all our customers transactions in their own national currency.

We made the decision to use US dollars for all our products, as the most widely-used currency around the world. At the same time, we have reduced the real cost of our resources, meaning that our prices are now lower than they have ever been in the past. We hope you approve.
